SWEAT And SCULPT – The FriYAY Dream!

As if it was possible for FriYAYs to get any better…our new fitness mission to stay toned means that the day is now sandwiched with awesomeness and with the company of the world’s greatest girl gangs!

Fridays now start at 7am with SWEAT (cardio/ strength based workout) and finish off with SCULPT at 2pm (core/ strength class). There’s no getting away from it, both of these sessions are tough and have been designed to challenge everyone (even our most experienced SWEATers) to give their best efforts, in order to make improvements to: cardiovascular and muscular endurance, strength, core stability and, of course, mental resilience.

If you’re now thinking that a two workout day doesn’t sound like a fun way to end a busy week, think again! Grinding away to our girlband ballads, intermittent giggles and pools of perspiration actually creates a rather tasty cocktail that always reenergises, revives and reminds us all to relish the time and experiences we share with others. All of this, just in time to ensure we squeeze every last drop of freedom and opportunity that the weekend invariably presents.

As you can see from the snaps below, there’s no posing, fake smiles, pristine make up or fresh hair in sight. In fact, there’s pretty much nothing but friendship, fun, girlboss attitude and quite a bit if sweat…

Summer SCULPT Session

Nothing like a scribbled session in a notebook to prove that fitness doesn’t have to be fancy. This 4 set plan (coupled with the genius of SecondsPro timer and some ‘Mood Booster’ tunes from Spotify) was enough to satisfy over 40 girls with a full-body burn!

Equipment = timer, speakers, 1 x mat, 1 x weight and a small patch of space

R1 (warm up) = Set #4 on 20:10 timer – 4:50 mins

R2 = Set #1 + Set #2 on 30:10 timer with 1 rep rest between sets (21 reps total) – 13:50 mins

R3 = Set #3 + Set #4 same timings as above – 13:50 mins

R4 = Repeat R2 = Set #1 + Set #2 same timings – 13:50 mins
